Erin held senior IT management roles for over a decade at world-class corporations, mainly in the financial services sector. Throughout her career, she approached technology with diligence and detail. And in 2009 she saw a need for IT support services targeted to small businesses but following the same structured model to serving large corporate clients.

She founded Simply Smart Technology later that year and grew the business organically focusing on satisfaction and retention. The company’s success comes from her vision for excellence rather than locking folks into long-term contracts – leading the company to achieve one of the highest retention rates in the industry.

Marcela Hernandez

Help Desk Manager

Marcela started with Simply Smart Technology as a help desk technician and quickly earned the title of help desk manager. Combining a Bachelor of Applied Science with a concentration in computer networking and a Bachelor of Business Administration, she is as business minded as she is tech savvy.

Her previous work experience involves providing desktop and network support to nonprofit organizations and small businesses. She always encourages the use of technology to deliver quality customer service and boost productivity.

Alex Wagner

Help Desk Technician

Alex graduated with a degree in Management Information Systems from Bradley University – where he cultivated his leadership and communication skills through various campus activities. He is currently a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and has served as the Scholastic Chair and Executive Committee member for two years. He has also played club hockey for the University since 2013, captaining the team in his final year.

Before joining Simply Smart Technology, Alex worked for four years at a managed IT support provider located in the Chicago suburbs. During that time he was tasked with overseeing all computers in the network, managing their active directory of users, and assisting in all technology procurement. His hands-on experience in the areas of server management, network administration, and IT security helped him expand his programming, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.

Thomas Zuk

Thomas earned multiple awards and recognitions while obtaining a degree in Network Engineering and Security Computer and Information Sciences from DePaul University. He was on the dean’s list and has been a member of Upsilon Pi Epsilon and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Thomas worked at the Geek Squad doing high-volume hands on break fix computer repairs during and after college. And in his free time, Thomas has been involved in multiple projects related to virtualization, network, and Amazon Compute Cloud.
